If you feel unwell on the day of tracking, you will not be permitted to participate, as primates are highly susceptible to human illnesses. Where possible, we work with park authorities to reschedule your tracking to the following day, subject to availability and your readiness to proceed. If this is not possible within your current itinerary, we can support deferring your permit to a future travel date (once), allowing you to return and complete the experience.

There are also two greener seasons (March–May and September–November). Tracking takes place within tropical forest environments, where conditions can vary and occasional rain is possible at any time of year — even in the drier months. At the same time, it’s not uncommon to experience clear, beautiful conditions even during the greener seasons. A lightweight waterproof jacket is essential before entering the forest. Gorilla tracking takes place in tropical forest terrain, where conditions can be wet, steep, and uneven. Being well prepared ensures a comfortable experience.
